Lakota Novacek
Your trainer at Novacek Colt Company. Lakota is passionate about giving every horse a solid foundation, and developing their potential to the fullest. Lakota has been training horses for the past 15+ years. She has mentored under several reining, cutting and cowhorse trainers including Dusty Whitford, Cody Patterson, Jeremy Knowles, Logan Leech, and Jeff Brown. Lakota Specializes in training and showing high quality ranch and reined cowhorses. One of Lakotas greatest achievements was breeding, and raising her first cow horse and taking it all the way to the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in 2022. Lakota also enjoys other avenues of life, including spending time with family and friends, bow hunting, and serving her community as an EMT first responder.
Karson Novacek
While not directly involved in the day to day of training horses at Novacek Colt company, Karson does assist Lakota with first rides of the colt starts that come in, and often helps expose colts to ranch work, and roping. Karson enjoys ranching and managing cattle, as well as team roping, hunting, and enjoying the outdoors.
